God has called me to serve our missionaries and college students across the country, particularly our men on staff. While I work in Denver, I’ll frequently travel to help run retreats, make campus visits, and lead our annual missionary training sites. I’m trying to help men grow in their character and virtue so they can first become the most effective missionaries they can be, find their vocation, and ultimately become saints in heaven. I will serve God in this way primarily through the Freedom Project, an initiative focused on removing obstacles to holiness and cultivating the virtues of chastity, sobriety, and excellence.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all people to Christ. I grew up in a strong Catholic home but practiced the bare minimum when I first went to college. It wasn’t until a missionary named Josh reached out to me that I discovered the real depth of what the Catholic Church offers to every soul on earth. It wasn’t until I led my own Bible study that I learned I could share my faith with others, and it wasn’t until FOCUS offered me a job that I learned how I was called to give my whole life to Christ, with the special opportunity to give some of it to serve on the college campus.

In this time on mission, my life has been and continues to be changed by Jesus, and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the message of the Gospel. In His three-year public ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few: the twelve disciples who went with him everywhere. After his death, he commissioned them to reach the whole word, to “make disciples of all nations.” I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world: the method of deep investment in a few to reach the many, in an ever-growing cycle of exponential growth. In my time at Seton Hall, I was constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus and had the joy of walking with on their journey to Christ. I spent four years there, with the last two in the Team Director role. Now, I will be in Denver coaching and leading all our male missionaries to greater holiness, so they can reach many more thousands of college students all over the US and the world, and ultimately discover who God is calling them to be.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely completely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve at Seton Hall.
