God has called me to serve the college students at Edinboro University in Northwestern Pennsylvania for my second full-time missionary year, Praise God! Edinboro has become a second home and I am overjoyed to be returning! I am blessed and grateful to encounter Christ fully alive in all the students I am with each day. Jesus has transformed my heart for mission so deeply and His graces keep overflowing to my friends, family, and students! You will likely find me somewhere on campus handing out flowers with prayers and affirmations, throwing a frisbee around, or sipping an iced coffee, so please come join me! 🙂

During my time as an undergraduate student at Adelphi University in New York, I encountered Christ through the incredible people I met on campus who simply invited me into something more. Moving onto a college campus for the first time was pretty intimidating at first, but I quickly found friends through Catholic Campus Ministry. The ministers, chaplain, and students involved had this undeniable joy that I became increasingly curious about. What is making them so joyful, and where can I get some of what they’re having? 

The question I should have been asking was Who is making them so joyful?, because the answer was not in some thing but someone.

The most prevalent experiences that I had with Christ in college were through the friends I met who were pursuing life with Christ. They invited me into opening my heart to Jesus in prayer and fellowship, which further allowed me to encounter Him and His love fully present in the Eucharist. Let me tell you, once I encountered a love like that, I was transformed. I am grateful that I had friends who built me up and led my aching heart straight to God the Father. They even saw a fire in my heart for God that I often struggled to see. The friends walking with me in striving for sainthood constantly encouraged me that I can do anything through Christ’s strength. I see so much of the same “longing for more” in this life that I experienced in the students I serve, and all I want to do is share Jesus Christ with them. He is the way, the truth, and the LIFE, that has transformed everything.
