Where I serve

God has called me near the Rocky Mountains in Genesee, Colorado, to serve Him through FOCUS! FOCUS missionaries are super cool young people who serve on college campuses throughout the country, inviting people into Catholic fellowship and relationship with Jesus. I will be behind the scenes, writing and designing content for FOCUS benefactors as the “Donor Communications Creative Content” intern! Choosing to follow Jesus has recently provided me with some awesome opportunities to serve His people- it never gets old. The adventure of serving at Damascus’ CYSC last summer has lead me out West, and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store.

My Story

I am currently a student at Ohio University majoring in journalism, focusing in publication design, and minoring in marketing! My favorite places to be are with my friends, in Adoration, or creating something (that I find) cool. I am on the media chair for OU Catholics and I started a Catholic magazine called “De Sales Journal” on campus! I aim to create art, media, and writing that glorifies God and shows how alive His Church is. This became my goal when the Gospel changed my life, and now I want to communicate it so it can change other’s lives, too.

I have been to Colorado once, and what I remember most is how easy it was to feel God in those mountains. I can’t wait to be surrounded by the beauty of His nature and serve in a new way with my passions and talents at FOCUS.

Your Impact

Missionary work is super epic- but not everyone is at a place in life to go serve. Depending on our state in life, some people are called to give by going on mission, while others are called to go by giving to mission. With a mutual goal of expanding God’s kingdom, I want to team up with you so that others will come to know His love. Answering the call to join FOCUS came with the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners.
