We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“There is a being who is Love, who wills us to live in His company.”
St. Elizabeth of the Trinity
I am a first-year missionary, and the Lord has called me to serve at West Chester University in Pennsylvania! I will be serving on a team with three other missionaries – including my fiancé Patrick Lynch.
As a FOCUS missionary at WCU, it is my full-time job and privilege to share the Gospel and accompany college students along their spiritual journeys. I desire for them to know that they are made for relationship with Jesus Christ and how He thirsts for them!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. This will impact the world as they head out to future jobs and careers working with so many different people. I first encountered Jesus in college. Until that point, I did not know any religion and did not know who God was. This left me misplacing my identity and worth in my performance at school. When I got to college, I experienced lots of loneliness and isolation. It felt like I had a hole in my heart that could not be filled by the things of the world.
In my junior year of college, I experienced authentic friendship and received the Gospel through a FOCUS missionary that inspired me to dive deeper. Through an encounter with Jesus in confession, I was convicted that Jesus is real and that He desires a relationship with me! This showed me that my true identity is as beloved daughter of God. And I discovered that original longing in my heart could only be filled by Christ.
Through the sacraments and divine intimacy with Jesus, my heart was set on fire to share this perfect Love with those who did not know Him. My life has been transformed by Jesus Christ, and I want nothing more than to share the Gospel with college students.
As FOCUS missionaries, we have the opportunity to build a team of generous individuals to spiritually and financially contribute to this mission of “making disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). I want to invite you into partnership with me for this mission! If you are interested, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
“Some go to give to the mission; others give to go on mission” – Mother Teresa
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
