I will begin my first year of mission on my own turf, the University of Nebraska Omaha (GO MAVS!). I will be serving here while I finish my degrees in Psychology and Medical Humanities.

Following graduation in December, I will be placed at a different university, so stay tuned! There, I hope to continue to be Christ’s hands and feet as I encounter new students.

I am so grateful for the witness of faith my parents exemplified growing up. But, then life came at me fast and hard. My freshman year of college was difficult, and one night I found myself in a church seeking the only person who could truly satisfy me.

In John 5:6 Jesus asks the question, “Do you want to be well?”

Though hesitant at first, after this encounter I began to seek Jesus more consistently through prayer, the sacraments, and virtuous friendships. As I have come to know the truth that Jesus wants us not only to be well, but to live abundantly (John 10:10), I deeply desire to share that truth with others.

As a FOCUS missionary I hope to walk with students at the University of Nebraska Omaha as we learn to continually answer “yes” when the Lord asks of us the same question, “Do you want to be well?”

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
