We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.” -1 John 4:11-12 (NABRE)
I will be starting my first year of mission at the Auraria Campus in Denver with the Bosco Project! Auraria includes CU Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver so we have a lot of students to reach with the Gospel!
I came to college at Northwest Missouri State unsure of my career path and unsure of my relationship with God. I was blessed, however, to meet people who invited me to know Him and better know myself.
In Bible studies and encounters with the love of Jesus in the Eucharist, I grew to understand our caring heavenly Father and His Church on earth.
Through my time in college, I was able to lead others in my broadcasting classes, and be led in my faith by my FOCUS missionary. In my senior year, as I was trying to figure out my occupational future, it became my turn to lead others in faith, starting a Bible study with friends from our radio station.
Leading this Bible study gave me great joy and an incredible sense of fulfillment, such that I had never experienced before.
I looked at the work I could do with my Broadcasting degree, and I looked at the fruits of working for the Kingdom of God, and I knew what I was called to do.
I thank you so much for your support of FOCUS’ mission and the mission of the Gospel!
Your giving allows for connections and hope for people who were unsure and lost like I was. We rely on people like you who can help launch the truth of Jesus Christ into the lives of college students.
From the entirety of my heart, thank you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
