Jacob: He served his first two years of mission in Oshkosh, WI. He now serves as the team director here in Aberdeen, SD at Northern State University (NSU). 

Sarah: I was placed at NSU for my first year as a missionary, while Jacob and I were engaged. Once we were married, Jacob joined me at NSU. As a wife and mother, I am now in the role of an affiliate missionary. 

Damien: Damien is our little South Dakota boy! He was born Fall 2021 and has been a joy to have around campus! He brings smiles to many faces and helps to meet new people, whether on campus, at the library, or even at the grocery store. 

Now: We are furthering the mission at NSU in the lives of the students and it has been such a gift to see transformation right before our eyes by inviting students into our marriage and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. God is so faithful!

Both Jacob and I were deeply impacted as students at the St. Thomas More Newman Center in Mankato, MN. The authentic friendships and witnesses to the beauty and truth of the Catholic faith definitely had a role in us hearing the Lord calling us to become missionaries with FOCUS. We each have our own unique way of the Lord calling us, so please ask us our story! 

As married missionaries, our greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. Our lives have been transformed by Jesus and we want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. 

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help us through this mission. We’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with us as we serve on campus.
