God has called us to serve college students at Minnesota State University Mankato and Jared as the Team Director. You’ll typically find us hanging out on campus, the Newman center, or playing somebody in racquetball at the Rec Center on campus or getting coffee with someone depending which one of us you ask. We have a pretty cool stories about how Jesus has changed our lives — We think you should hear it sometime! Come find us and we would love to share it with you. 🙂

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.

I was impacted by several FOCUS missionaries while in college at Wayne State College and they helped me learn how to pray which lead my to encounter the Lord in a radical way my sophomore year of college. Since then, I have been striving to do God’s will with my life and help lead others to Him. I answered His call to be a missionary when I was trying to make a decision between a few different job opportunities in my major or a FOCUS missionary when I heard the week before my interview with FOCUS Jesus say in the Gospel at a daily mass “The harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few.” When Deacon Gary said those words I knew right then in my heart what God wanted me to do.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
